Baking bread with Tequila is my new favorite hobby! You already know how amazing Mar Azul Tequila is with their 7 different flavors of tequila that are made without sugar or artificial flavors! I did some experimenting and baked two delicious breads with some of my favorite flavors, Coconut and Almond!
You have to admit, comfort food is always a good idea… in moderation! This Almond Cherry Bread and Coconut Pineapple Bread are going to definitely bring comfort and have your taste buds jumping!
I created a base bread recipe and then mixed in the various flavors to have a few different choices, and the family loved it!
Base Bread Recipe:
2-1/2 Cups of Flour
1/2 Teaspoon salt
1-1/2 Teaspoons of Baking powder
1 cup of milk
5 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil
3 Eggs
3/4 cup of White Sugar
3/4 cup of Brown Sugar
Mix the flour, salt and baking powder together in a large bowl, separately whisk together milk, eggs and vegetable oil. Once everything is mixed, combine the mixtures together with the sugar and use this as your base bread recipe. Easily mix in the additional flavors below with 1-1/2 cups of the bread recipe and bake at 375F for 25 minutes.
Coconut Pineapple Mini Bread
3 Tablespoons for Coconut Mar Azul Tequila
1/4 cup of Chopped Pineapple
1/4 cup of Shredded Coconut
(1-1/2 cups of bread mixture)
Almond Cherry Mini Bread
3 Tablespoons of Almond Mar Azul Tequila
1/4 cup of sliced Almonds
1/4 cup of chopped maraschino cherries
2 Tablespoons of cherry juice
(1-1/2 cups of bread mixture)
