If you haven’t seen the Disney Descendants movie series yet, then you are really missing out on a cool story-line that only Disney can do! Tweens & Teens everywhere were waiting patiently for Disney’s Descendants 2 that premiered on the Disney Channel in mid July. My daughter loves it because it stars her two favorite Disney actresses Dove Cameron and Sophia Carson. What we really love about Disney’s Descendants 2 is that it ties in the characters from the Disney movies that we grew up watching!
Dove Cameron is “Mal” the daughter of Maleficient
Sofia Carson is “Evie” the daughter of the Evil Queen
Cameron Boyce is “Carlos” the son of Cruella De Vil
Booboo Stewart is “Jay” the son of Jafar
The scene of the movie shows the sons and daughters of the Disney heroes reside on Auradon and the sons and daughters of the Disney Villains are on The Isle of the Lost. Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay move from the evil island to live on Auradon, and shows the struggles that they go through with trying to fit in! The descendants of the villains are stereo-typed as evil because of where they come from and their family ties but really they are just like everyone else. It really connects to the young teens growing up in today’s world with creating a story-line that they can relate to and also includes the true Disney Movie magic!
