Since I live in San Antonio celebrating Fiesta is a must! It’s the time of year when the city is decorated with Papel Picado and you can find events to enjoy all around town! Carnivals, Food Fests, Parades and lots of family friendly fun goes on for 10 days every April! I wanted to take a moment and share some of the events that I love to attend in case you plan on attending Fiesta or want to visit next April!
First and foremost, you can find some of the most cultural and beautiful murals all around San Antonio! This is one of my favorites! You can definitely take some very insta-worthy pics during Fiesta! I was able to get around to see some of my favorite murals and Fiesta festivities in this gorgeous Chevy Silverado! I can always count on Chevy vehicles to be really spacious and are easy to drive! One of my favorite features is the Auto-Stop, it’s great for saving on gas and the long term life of your vehicle!
Although Fiesta in San Antonio is all about having fun, celebrating this beautiful city and giving back to organizations that benefit from some of the events around town… I also wanted to share some great ways you can recycle when your in Fiesta-mode on this Earth Day! It’s a great opportunity to re-educate ourselves on what we can and cannot recycle.
4 recycling tips to keep in mind during Fiesta:
1. Before recycling food and drink cans, make sure they’re empty, clean and dry before putting in the recycle container.
2. Keep your lid on your water bottle when you recycle it! The lid is too small and will get separate and end up in a landfill.
3. Once Fiesta is over, don’t recycle your festive gear – donate it if it’s still in good shape, or throw it away.
4. Food wrappers for tamales, tacos and churros are contaminated if in direct contact with food. Toss it if it’s greasy or wet.
