We finally took some much needed family time and enjoyed some of our favorite places to travel in Texas! We are so lucky to live in a state where there are so many exciting places to enjoy from the NASA Space Center in Houston to the playful Dolphins at Sea World San Antonio! Austin is also one of the fastest growing cities in Texas and has some really cool spots to visit too! We started off by picking out the perfect vehicle to head out on a road trip, a 2018 Chevy Tahoe RST Edition, it was comfortable, reliable and everyone had enough room to enjoy the long drive to visit all our favorite Texas attractions!
When venturing off on a road trip the biggest obstacle is the best way to get to your destinations with-in a good time frame, so how great was it that Chevy teamed up with Scientist and road trip guru Randy Olsen to give the unique opportunity to save time and make the most out of your drive. We calculated our trip to from San Antonio Texas to Houston using this interactive map that uses a scientific algorithm that will compute the most optimal road trip, try it out on your next trip or vacation to anywhere across the U.S. What we loved most about it is that we were able to spend less time driving and more time enjoying our destinations, from major landmarks, to inner city favorites and historical sites!
Road Tripping with #Chevy to all of our favorite spots in Texas! #FindNewRoads Share on XAside from visiting our biggest attractions here in San Antonio like The Alamo and Sea World San Antonio, we went to explore the NASA Johnson Space Center and The Children’s Museum in Houston, they both were spectacular to see! If you are planning on visiting Houston anytime soon I suggest getting a City Pass, because it gives you entry to up to 5 Houston attractions for only $59! It’s such a good deal!
NASA did not disappoint… we went on the tram tour, which I highly suggest because it will take you to all of the highlights inside NASA including Rocket Park and the research center where they are training the equipment and robotics needed to complete the Orion Mission to Mars in the next 20 years! If you happen to visit during the week you will actually see real astronauts training and testing objects in the lab! Cool Huh!!! My daughter loved it and I think that this is definitely a must see attraction in Houston!
We are so happy we took this fantastic road trip in the Chevy Tahoe some of our favorite features was definitely the space, it has plenty of room to take a family road trip with up to 7 passengers, we also enjoyed the DVD player with remote and wireless headphones and it also had a WiFi/Hot Spot for everyone to use! It was so nice feeling safe and not having to worry about the navigation computing our trip and the side blind alert lane change and rear cross-traffic alert! Check out our fun video showing the inside of the Chevy Tahoe and the destinations we stopped at during our road trip!
Thank you so much for stopping by, and don’t forget to compute you next road trip!
Happy road tripping from my family to yours!
Did you love this car? Ive always wanted an SUV and this one looks so sleek!
This looks like such a fun family trip and a great ride to go in!
Looks like you all had a fun trip! I have never been to Texas but I want to visit. So many amazing spots to see.
Very cool that you went to Space Center Houston — I loved that during my Hosuton visit! The tram tour is also a must, so I’m glad you did that.
Looks like a fun road trip! So many fun stops!
I went to Texas when I was very young with my family but I’ve always wanted to go back! You’re so right- there are SO many attractions in this state.
